How do I sign up?
Download Crib from the App Store and sign up with your university email. We'll send you a one-time passcode to verify. No password needed. After verifying your email, set up your profile and you're ready to go.
Why do I need a university email?
Crib is exclusively for university students. Requiring a .edu (or equivalent institutional) email ensures every user is verified as part of a real campus community. This is the foundation of trust on Crib.
How do bookings work?
When you find a space you like, tap "Request to Book" and choose your dates. The host has 48 hours to accept or decline. If accepted, you'll be connected in a messaging thread to work out the details. Crib does not handle payments; financial arrangements are made directly between you and the other user.
How do reviews work?
After a booking period ends, both the host and seeker can submit a review. Reviews are double-blind: neither person can see the other's review until both have submitted. This encourages honest, unbiased feedback.
How is my location protected?
When you list a space, your exact address is never shown publicly. Other users see an approximate area (offset by about 200 meters). Your exact address is only shared with someone after you accept their booking request, through the in-app messaging thread.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to your Profile tab in the app, scroll down, and tap "Delete Account." This permanently deletes all your data: profile, listings, messages, bookings, and reviews. This action cannot be undone. See our Account Deletion page for full details.
I found a suspicious listing. What should I do?
Report it directly in the app using the report button on the listing page, or email us at support@nucrib.com. We review all reports and will take action if our guidelines are being violated.
